PSL 2023: Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will meet in the first elimination match of the current eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 on Thursday, March 16 at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Islamabad United finished third in the standings at the conclusion of the tournament’s group stages with 12 points from 10 games, while Peshawar Zalmi finished fourth with 10 points from 12 games. Now, both teams will compete with one another for a spot in Eliminator 2, hoping to advance to the summit clash.

In their past games, the two groups confronted each other as Peshawar Zalmi arose triumphant against Islamabad, because of a breathtaking presentation by their bowling assault. Mohammad Haris hit a sensational shot, which helped Zalmi score 179 runs.

Khurram Shahzad, Sufiyan Muqeem, and James Neesham’s relentless attack with the ball as Islamabad came into bat prevented Zalmi from chasing down the runs, and Zalmi won the game by 13 runs. Both teams will be aiming for a similar performance because they are focused on Eliminator 2, the tournament’s penultimate game.
