Azam Khan, the wicketkeeper batsman for Islamabad United, was hurt during the 26th game of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.

Azam suffered a left hand ring finger injury while keeping in the 13th over of the first inning. For the remaining overs, Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Afghanistan assumed control as the wicketkeeper.

Tariq Saeed, an Urdu commentator, verified during the commentary that Azam had been rushed to the hospital for scans.

Afterwards, the team revealed that Azam will miss tonight’s game due to an injury.

Azam has been crucial to United’s PSL campaign this season. In his first nine games, he had 280 runs scored. The powerful batter also has two fifty-hit games on his resume.

It should be recalled that Lahore Qalandars gave United a 227-run target. As his team scored 226-5 in 20 overs, Fakhar Zaman hit his second century.

Qalandars lost opener Abdullah Shafique in the first over after electing to bat first. Abdullah was captured by Fazalhaq Farooqi with a full-length delivery.

From there, and particularly in an aggressive manner, Fakhar and Kamran Ghulam carried the innings. This season, Fakhar, who is already at his best, hammered the ball all over the pitch.

Fakhar was able to earn his second hundred of the competition after receiving three lifelines—two dropped catches and a successful review. He scored 122 runs off 62 balls alongside Kamran.

Before losing to Mohammad Wasim Jr., Kamran was able to get 41 points off of 30. Fakhar, however, continued and finished the job. In addition, he and Sam Billings scored 70 runs together.

Fakhar hit eight boundaries and as many sixes in his 115 runs off 57 balls. Billings made 32 off of 22. Rashid Khan’s rapid 15 runs for Qalandars also contributed to their high total.
