On Sunday, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Islamabad United by a score of 13 runs, ensuring that the two teams will face off in the first elimination round of the current season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The outcome also guarantees that Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars will play in the tournament’s qualifier.

After choosing to field first after winning the toss, Islamabad was given a target of 180 runs. However, they were dismissed for 166 in 19.4 overs. In their allotted 20 overs, Zalmi scored 179-8, with Mohammad Haris scoring 79 runs in 39 balls and Bhanuka Rajapaksa chipping in with 41 runs in 25 balls.
