Rilee Rossouw‘s unstoppable batting helped Multan Sultans break their previous run-chase record in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Multan defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the 27th game of the current PSL 8.

Rossouw and Kieron Pollard combined to score 99 runs off just 43 balls, turning the game in their favour. Multan was able to complete the enormous total chase with five balls remaining thanks to the left-handed batter’s 121 runs, which included 12 boundaries and eight sixes.

Anwar Ali ultimately scored the game-winning goal for Multan, holding on for 24 runs off just eight balls to win the match.

Peshawar’s openers Babar and Saim scored 134 runs to enable Peshawar record 242-6 in 20 overs, the second-highest total in the PSL this season.

Mohammad Haris, the wicket-keeper for Peshawar, scored 35 runs in just 11 balls, adding significant runs to the team’s high total.
