During the Wednesday night match between the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles, a cameraman from the YES Network named Pete Stendel suffered a head injury. In the bottom of the fifth inning, a throw intended for first base missed its target and struck Mr. Stendel instead.

The game was halted for 15 minutes as medical staff attended to him. While being escorted off the field, Mr. Stendel raised his hand to acknowledge the crowd of more than 36,000 spectators.

The errant throw that caused the injury was made by Orioles rookie shortstop Gunnar Henderson, as the ball sailed over first base and struck the cameraman on the sidelines.
