Sassuolo’s CEO Giovanni Carnevali has confirmed that Davide Frattesi, an Italy international, has completed his transfer to Inter Milan. Carnevali informed reporters outside Inter’s headquarters that the deal has been finalized and Frattesi signed the contract a short time ago.
“It wasn’t an easy deal to strike as there were other clubs interested,” added Carnevali.
“But the deal is good for us and also for him as his preference was to go to Inter.”
According to reports from Italian media, Inter Milan will be paying Sassuolo €27 million (equivalent to RM137 million) for the transfer of Davide Frattesi.
The 23-year-old midfielder has signed a five-year contract with Inter, which is expected to earn him €2.8 million per season as per Italian media sources. As part of the deal, Samuele Mulattieri, who had a successful loan spell at Frosinone from Inter last season, will be moving from Inter to Sassuolo.
Frattesi made a strong impression at Sassuolo in the previous season, scoring seven goals from midfield in 36 Serie A appearances. He also found the net in Italy’s recent 3-2 victory over the Netherlands in the Nations League third-place play-off.
