Mauricio Pochettino, the newly appointed manager of Chelsea, has expressed his intention to implement a tailored training regimen to unleash the maximum potential of Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Raheem Sterling. Having taken over the managerial role following Chelsea’s 12th-place finish in the Premier League last season, Pochettino aims to optimize the performance of these players through personalized training approaches.

With his experience as the former manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Pochettino brings his expertise to Chelsea, aiming to elevate the team’s performance. Recognizing the unique talents of Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Raheem Sterling, Pochettino plans to devise a training regime that caters to their individual abilities, allowing them to flourish on the field. As Chelsea looks to improve upon their previous season’s performance, Pochettino’s customized training approach highlights his commitment to unlocking the full potential of these players and driving the team towards success.

“Different players arrived in different circumstances, but of course now is an opportunity,” Pochettino said on Chelsea’s website, describing his team’s pre-season intentions.

Chelsea will kick its pre-season in the United States on July 19 against National League champions Wrexham.

“I hope we can help them achieve their best, higher level, and try to perform for Chelsea in the way that people expect,” he stated.

“This is a new beginning, a new beginning, and I believe they must demonstrate their true quality.” But we need to provide this framework for them to feel at ease and give them breathing room to perform and progress.”

Pochettino stated that Fernandez, who was awarded the best teenager at last year’s World Cup after assisting Argentina to victory, needed relaxation after a demanding schedule.

“The Premier League is a really tough competition, and he changes everything – culture, language, everything – and it’s always difficult to adapt,” stated Pochettino.

Pochettino also noted that Mudryk’s “mindset and everything is different” from Fernandez’s, which is why he plans to spend more time with the 22-year-old.

After leaving Manchester City, where he won ten major titles, Sterling has failed to live up to expectations, scoring just nine goals in 38 appearances for Chelsea.

“It’s not always the player’s fault… We need to see us to understand what’s going on and why they’re not performing as well as we anticipate, and then, of course, after everything is obvious, we can’t give them excuses to not perform.” Pochettino elaborated.
