Shan Masood, the left-handed opener, has all eyes on him after scoring a fast 67-ball 83 against the Sri Lanka President’s (SLP) XI on day one of the warm-up game.

Pakistan concluded day one with 160-3 in 37 overs after bowling out the hosts for 196 runs owing to Masood’s outstanding effort. With a strike rate of 123.88, the first hitter scored runs.

Masood received a lot of appreciation on social media for his outstanding performance.

Following the exploits of Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi, Shan (83) carried the momentum with the bat and scored valuable runs for the visiting side.

Hassan quickly secured Sandun Weerakkody to give an early respite for the touring party.

Abrar Ahmed then joined the party after picking up Nuwanidu Fernando, who scored only 19 runs.
