After winning the toss, the Netherlands decided to bat first against Bangladesh in the 28th match of the ICC World Cup 2023 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The Dutch team had not so good start as they lost 2 wickets in the first 3 overs. However, Wesley Barresi and Colin Ackermann stabilized the score as they put up a 59-run partnership before Barresi was dismissed by Mustafizur Rahman.

Barresi scored 41 runs from 41 balls with 8 fours. Ackermann managed to score only 18 runs from 33 balls.

The Netherlands skipper Scott Edwards amasses 68 runs from 89 balls including 6 fours.

The Dutch team scored 229 runs in 50 overs and lost wickets.

The Tigers skipper Shakib Al Hasan has been the most economical bowler as he conceded only 37 runs in 10 overs while taking one wicket.

Shroful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Rahman, and Mahedi Hasan took two wickets each.

Bangladesh now requires 230 runs at 4.60 runs per over to win.
