As the Pakistan men’s cricket team gears up for their upcoming challenges in the ICC World Cup 2023, Captain Babar Azam and a few of the team’s coaches took some time to relax and recharge on the golf course in Kolkata. Head coach Grant Bradburn, bowling coach Morne Morkel, and Andrew Puttick joined the Pakistan skipper in golf activities, providing them with a brief respite from their demanding schedule.

In contrast, the remaining players enjoyed leisurely pool sessions at their hotel, taking a well-deserved break from their rigorous training and matches.

The Pakistan cricket team is set to commence their training sessions starting tomorrow, with a scheduled start time of 2 PM local time, as they prepare for their upcoming challenges in the ICC World Cup.

Notably, Pakistan will have the services of Shadab Khan and pacer Haris Rauf available for selection as they prepare to face England in an upcoming match.

However, fast bowler Haris Rauf experienced discomfort in his ribs and underwent testing at a local hospital in Kolkata. Fortunately, after a thorough examination of the MRI report, the team management confirmed that Haris Rauf will be fit and available for selection in the match against England scheduled for Saturday.

On a positive note, Shadab Khan’s recovery is progressing well. The leg-spinner had suffered an injury during a previous match when he landed awkwardly on his shoulder, hitting his head on the ground while fielding. His condition will be further assessed during the training session scheduled for tomorrow, indicating a promising trajectory for his return to the team.

Pakistan currently stands in the fifth position on the points table and faces a crucial match against England on November 11 in Kolkata. In addition to a victory against England, they are reliant on Sri Lanka defeating the Black Caps in Bengaluru on November 9. Furthermore, Pakistan also needs Afghanistan to lose at least one of their remaining two matches against Australia and South Africa, or both, as the Afghans share the same points (8) with Babar Azam’s men, despite playing one match less.

As the tournament intensifies, the Pakistan cricket team remains determined to secure their place in the ICC World Cup 2023.
