After La Liga’s winter break concludes in January, Real Madrid players Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius Jr. are expected to resume training, according to manager Carlo Ancelotti.

While Camavinga, a midfielder, hasn’t played for Real Madrid in the last three league games because of a damaged ligament in his right knee, forward Vinicius sustained a hamstring and tendon injury last month.

Vinicius and Camavinga will have to wait until 2024, but I think they will be ready to train with us by the end of the break,” Ancelotti told reporters.

In addition, the Italian gave an update on Jude Bellingham, a midfielder who has been playing despite a shoulder ailment.

“His shoulder is a problem that he has to take care of, doing specific work. It is not a big enough problem, so he can still play, and we think the issue will improve with each passing day,” Ancelotti said.

“The shoulder is a very particular joint, and there is a chance it could pop out with continuous problems. He would then need surgery if that happens, but for now we can rule that out.”

In addition, Ancelotti had a clever answer when asked if he would take a €500 million (£429 million) offer to become a coach in Saudi Arabia.

“On foot. On foot. I’m walking, I don’t need to take a flight,” joked Ancelotti. “I’m joking, everyone makes their choices.”

He proceeded to deny that he had spoken to officials from any Saudi clubs.

“No, they have not called me and I live in the present. The present is very good,” he added.

“I have another idea that is not that right now. I have never looked at money, because I grew up in a family in which money was not important. And the truth is that I have money.

“For me, the important thing is to feel good, it could be that one day I will feel good in Saudi Arabia, but for now, I feel good here.”
