The ICC grants official status to the Emirates Board’s International Cricket League (ILT20).

According to the details, the Chief Operating Officer of ILT20, Subhan Ahmed, says that adding the International Cricket League to the official record book of the ICC is a great achievement for Emirates Cricket.

Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest bowler in the world of cricket, popularly known as Rawalpindi Express, has been appointed as the brand ambassador of ILT20.

Akhtar met the UAE U-19 cricket team in Dubai and congratulated them on their win against Sri Lanka.

Later, talking to the media, Akhtar said that the International Cricket League is the biggest platform for new talent, and this event will be a way forward for cricketers.

Subhan said on the occasion that Pakistani star players and big names from all over the world are joining the ILT20.

He said that getting the official status of List A on the ILT20 records by the ICC is a big success for UAE cricket.

The second edition of the International Cricket League is starting on January 19 in Sharjah, in which famous cricketers from all over the world, including Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, will be in action.

The final of the event will be played on February 17 at the Dubai International Stadium.
