As Al-Nassr defeated Al-Riyadh 4-1 to maintain their lead in the Saudi Pro League 2023–24, Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his 1,200th career game with a goal and an assist.

The Portuguese broke the deadlock in the 31st minute when they tapped in a cross from Sadio Mane. Shortly before the half, they set up Otavio with a lovely cross, and the player headed the ball home.

When the five-time Ballon d’Or winner played his record 1200th game, his longevity took an incredible turn for the better, elevating his already stellar career to a whole new level.

El Bicho made his professional debut with his boyhood club Sporting CP in 2002, and he has since played 1,200 matches over 21 years. Nevertheless, he has no plans to retire playing anytime soon.

“Three more points! 🔝 Thankful to all my team mates who helped me reach my 1200th match. What a ride, but we’re not done yet,” Ronaldo posted on Instagram.

Ronaldo turns 39 on February 5th, but he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. With 49 goals this season, he is only one goal behind the league-leading 50 goals scored by Erling Haaland.

Former Real Madrid player Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, and other players of the next generation replaced the likes of Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Luis Suarez as rivals.

It is important to remember that Ronaldo has played for some of the top teams in the world, including Juventus, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, where he made history and eventually rose to fame.

Ronaldo amassed 450 goals—a record that is probably going to stand—and 131 assists in 438 games while playing for Real Madrid.

During his two stints at Man United, the forward amassed 145 goals and 64 assists.

Ronaldo’s 21-year career included numerous UEFA Champions League victories as well as five Ballon d’Or victories, the greatest individual honor in sports.
