The ILT20 2024 tournament has seen the involvement of Pakistani players, which has delighted and impressed David White, the ILT20 Chief Executive Officer and former New Zealand batsman.

White told Cricket Pakistan in an exclusive interview, “I think it’s fantastic that Pakistani players are here. Pakistani players are terrific. I have a bit of a soft spot for Pakistani players, but I think they have produced some of the best players in the world.”

White also praised the talent and contribution of Afridi to the tournament.

“Great to have Shaheen Shah Afridi here,” White said.

White also spoke about the strong bond between New Zealand and Pakistan, and referred to the recent series between them.

“We have a very close relationship with Pakistan. They have just played New Zealand, and I understand New Zealand is going back to Pakistan, which will be great for preparation for the T20 World Cup,” he added.

“There always has been lots of talent in Pakistan. Very strong player base. They are very very competitive. There always has been a little bit of volatality with Pakistan but they find a way to create top players,” he concluded.
