Karchi’s National Bank Stadium will host the PSL 9 play-offs
PSL 2024 Schedule – The 9th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin on February 17, 2024 at Lahore.
The opening match will feature the two-time champions and current titleholders, Lahore Qalandars, facing off against Islamabad United, winners of the 2016 and 2018 editions.
This premier cricketing event will be played across 4 cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—culminating in the final at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. The tournament, featuring six teams, will consist of 34 T20 matches.
Karachi is set to host the most matches this season, counting to 11 out of 34, which includes a qualifier, two eliminators, and the final.
Rawalpindi and Lahore will host nine group matches each, and Multan, the city of saints, will host only five matches.
This year’s edition will follow the same pattern as last year’s, with the tournament being played in two legs. The first leg will be staged in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium, which include the first fourteen matches from February 17 to 27. The action will then move on to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where the remaining 16 group stage matches will be played before the tournament finally shifts to Karachi for the play-offs.

Throughout the competition, Karachi is set to be the venue for 11 matches, featuring the Qualifier, two Eliminators, and the final. Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi are scheduled to host nine matches each. Meanwhile, Multan, renowned as the city of saints, will be the backdrop for five matches.
Gear up for the much-anticipated face-off between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings scheduled for February 24 and March 9. The excitement begins at Gaddafi Stadium on February 24, and on March 9, the showdown moves to the National Bank Stadium for the exhilarating match between Qalandars and Kings.
Teams like Karachi Kings, Qalandars, Sultans, and United will play five matches at their respective home grounds, while Peshawar Zalmi will play four matches at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Quetta Gladiators, on the other hand, will play three matches each in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, with one match at Multan Cricket Stadium against the home side Sultans on February 25.
Similar to the previous edition, the upcoming ninth edition of the PSL will unfold in two legs. The matches from February 17 to 27 will take place at Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, hosting a total of 14 matches.
