In the ongoing ILT20, a thrilling match unfolded where Azam Khan, the wicket-keeper batter for Desert Vipers, delivered a record-breaking performance against Gulf Giants, etching his name in the annals of cricket history.

The game was filled with action as Azam Khan’s powerful innings broke the ILT20 record for the quickest fifty.

Batting first, Gulf Giants encountered early difficulties, losing six wickets by the 16th over, largely due to the destructive bowling of Pakistan’s pace prodigy, Mohammad Amir.

Amir’s exceptional performance on the pitch limited Gulf Giants to a total of 160 runs for seven wickets, with his impressive four-over spell claiming three vital wickets at an economy rate of 8.50.

During the chase, Desert Vipers seized the initiative early, largely due to Azam’s outstanding batting. He demonstrated his skills by scoring a match-winning fifty in a mere 18 balls, surpassing the previous record set by West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who reached the milestone in 19 balls.

Azam’s innings, at the age of 25, included five fours and four towering sixes, leading to an impressive strike-rate of 250.00.

His dynamic innings drove Desert Vipers to a victory within the 17th over, with the loss of only four wickets.
