Mohsin Naqvi appointed as Chairman PCB
Mohsin Naqvi, the interim Chief Minister of Punjab, has been unanimously appointed as the new chairman of the management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
His leadership has been endorsed for the next three years by ten members of the board of governors at the National Cricket Academy Lahore.
The Patron PCB and interim Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar proposed Naqvi’s candidacy, along with Mustafa Ramdey, for the Board of Governors, which was established under the 2014 constitution.
The board’s diverse makeup is highlighted by the inclusion of representatives from various regions and departments, including Azad Jammu Kamshir, Larkana, Dera Murad Jamali, Bahawalpur, PTV, State Bank, Sui Gas, and Ghani Glass.
The secretary of inter-provincial coordination is a member of the board of governors but does not have voting rights. Mohsin Naqvi’s victory was announced by Chief Election Commissioner Shah Khawar.
After Ramiz Raja’s exit, the PCB’s operations were managed by committees led by Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf. As the new head of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi will face a series of important decisions aimed at improving the Pakistan Super League and strengthening the national team.
