The Karachi Kings are facing significant challenges due to the limited participation of their crucial foreign players, Tabraiz Shamsi and Jamie Overton.

Shamsi, a wristspinner from South Africa, will depart from the PSL on March 6 to fulfill domestic T20 obligations, having participated in the first six games, and will be absent for the tournament’s second half.

In the meantime, Jamie Overton, an English all-rounder, has been pulled out for the entire season by his county, Surrey, to ensure he is prepared for the County Championship that commences on April 5.

The policy of Cricket South Africa also impacts Lahore Qalandars’ Rassie van der Dussen, necessitating his return home on March 6, which affects the season’s later part.

On Sunday, England prudently revoked the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for English fast bowler Recce Topley, who was slated to play for Multan Sultans, due to a minor injury he sustained during the SA20, raising concerns.

Concurrently, Colin Munro and Tymalls have arrived in Lahore to play for Islamabad United in the ninth edition of PSL.
