On the second day of the second Test at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, India’s leading fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, delivered a powerful yorker that left England’s Ollie Pope in shock.

Bumrah was on fire on Saturday, taking out three of England’s key batters – Joe Root, Pope, and Jonny Bairstow.

Bumrah took out Root with an inswinger in the 26th over, and then shattered Pope’s stumps in the 28th over, giving the right-handed batter no chance to defend.

Pope’s dismissal was crucial as he had single-handedly saved England from a huge loss in the first Test in Hyderabad by scoring 196 in the first innings when the rest of the team struggled against the Indian bowlers.

Earlier in the day, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his first double century, helping India to reach 396 before being bowled out.

England began their innings well but lost wickets quickly after reaching fifty without loss.

In addition to Bumrah, Axar Patel dismissed Zak Crawley, while Kuldeep Yadav took out Ben Duckett and Ben Foakes.

At the time of this report, England was at 181/6 in 42 overs, with captain Ben Stokes (17*) and Rehan Ahmed (6*) at the crease.
