Azhar Mehmood, Pakistan team’s newly appointed head coach for the New Zealand T20I series, will join the national team on Monday.

The players have arrived in Islamabad from varous parts of the country on Sunday.

Azhar, who now resides in England, is from the capital city of Pakistan.

“Azhar will be arriving from England Monday while all other members of the squad checked in the hotels Sunday evening,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official accompanying the team said.

National cricketers will have their training sessions at the Pindi Stadium starting Monday. The first match of the series will be played at the same venue on April 18.

On the other hand, the Kiwis, after long and tiring journey, while rest for the entire two days before staritng their practice sessions on April 16.
