Haris Rauf, a fast bowler for Pakistan, has expressed admiration for Mohammad Amir, who recently decided to come out of retirement. He believes that he will gain significant knowledge from the seasoned left-arm pacer in preparation for the T20I series against Ireland and England.

In a media interaction on Sunday in Lahore, Rauf underscored the significance of competition among bowlers for the betterment of the team, and pointed out the positive team dynamics.

Amir bhai is our senior bowler. I get to learn a lot from him. The team benefits when there is competition for spots between bowlers. There is no jealousy. You try to perform better than one another so that the team benefits,” Rauf stated.

Rauf, who is on the mend from an injury he suffered during the 9th PSL season, discussed the difficulties of regaining form.

“It is always difficult to return from an injury, I’m trying to get back in rhythm,” Rauf mentioned.

Rauf also spoke about their goal to correct past errors and bring joy to Pakistani supporters, with an eye on success in the forthcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

“We played great cricket in the last World Cup, we reached the final. We are now trying not to repeat those mistakes. We will do our best to bring happiness to our people,” he concluded.
