Pakistan’s fast bowler, Naseem Shah, has expressed his support for his fellow fast bowler, Mohammad Amir, in the lead-up to the T20 World Cup in June, which will be held in the United States and West Indies.

Naseem is of the opinion that Amir’s prior experience will be advantageous in the forthcoming matches.

“Amir has experience from playing in the leagues which is proving beneficial for the team,” Naseem stated during a press conference at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday.

Naseem is also keenly looking forward to the T20 World Cup.

“I’m fit and ready for the World Cup. I want to help my team win the tournament,” he declared.

In the meantime, Salman Ali Agha mentioned that his attention is on the upcoming matches against England and Ireland.

“I am fully prepared for the series and would like to continue my good form,” he expressed. “My focus is on the upcoming matches and the decision to select me for the World Cup is down to the selectors.”

The Pakistan team is set to depart for Dublin on May 7, following a three-day training camp in Lahore from May 4-6.

Fast bowler Shaheen Afridi and batsman Azam Khan are expected to join the camp today, while the rest of the squad members have already commenced their training at Gaddafi Stadium.

Fast bowler Hasan Ali and all-rounder Shadab Khan will not be participating in the current training camp ahead of the Ireland tour.

Shadab and Hasan, who is presently engaged in county cricket for Warwickshire, will link up with the squad in Ireland.

The Pakistan team is slated to play three T20Is in Ireland, followed by four in England. After the England series, the team will head to the United States to participate in the T20 World Cup.
