Rocky Flintoff, the son of former England cricketer Andrew Flintoff, has been selected to be part of England’s U-19 team.

Even though he is currently taking his exams, the young star has been included in the 16-player squad set to play three ODIs against Sri Lanka.

In April, Rocky Flintoff, along with his older brother Corey, scored his first century in his debut match for Lancashire’s 2nd XI against Warwickshire at Edgbaston, hitting 116 runs.

However, Corey was unable to match his younger brother’s talent and was not included in the U-19’s 16-player squad. At present, Corey is recuperating from a back injury.

“We have selected an exciting squad for the series, with a blend of some players who are currently playing in the Vitality Blast and some younger players for whom it will be their first time in an U19s squad. As always, it’s a great opportunity for the players to perform in an England U-19 shirt and to experience international cricket,” stated Mike Yardy, the coach of England Men U19s.

Meanwhile, Andrew Flintoff, renowned as one of the top all-rounders, is presently serving as a coach for the England team in the T20 World Cup 2024 that is underway.
