As the highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy approaches, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is set to meet with International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Jay Shah.

The meeting is scheduled for October during the final match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Dubai, according to sources.

The PCB is currently awaiting final approval of the Champions Trophy schedule to confirm its logistical arrangements. During a recent meeting with ICC officials, the PCB requested a prompt signing of the schedule to ensure smooth preparations for the event.

Provisional bookings have already been made, and finalization is expected soon. The ICC is likely to announce the official schedule by the end of October.

One of the key topics in the Naqvi-Shah meeting will be the participation of the Indian cricket team in the Champions Trophy, which will be hosted in Pakistan. India has not played in Pakistan since 2008, and no bilateral series has taken place between the two nations since 2012-13.

An earlier ICC delegation inspected venues in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Lahore and expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements in place for the tournament. The delegation included key ICC officials, including Sarah Edgar, Senior Manager of Events, and Wasim Khan, General Manager of Cricket.

The ICC Champions Trophy promises to be a major cricketing event, and final preparations are underway to ensure its success.
