England resumed their innings on day three of the second Test against Pakistan at Multan Cricket Stadium, trailing by 126 runs with four wickets in hand. The visitors started the day at 239-6, with Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse at the crease, aiming to chase down Pakistan’s first-innings total of 366 runs.

The momentum shifted in Pakistan’s favor when Sajid Khan picked up four crucial wickets, including Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Joe Root, and Ollie Pope. Duckett’s century had earlier placed England in a strong position, but Sajid’s impressive bowling brought Pakistan back into contention.

In Pakistan’s first inning, debutant Kamran Ghulam top-scored with a brilliant 118, while Saim Ayub contributed 77 runs. England’s bowlers Jack Leach (4-114) and Brydon Carse (3-50) delivered notable performances to limit Pakistan to 366.

England currently leads the three-Test series 1-0.
