The final match is set for March 9, with a reserve day on March 10. To showcase their readiness, the PCB Chairman invited ICC members to visit Pakistan to witness the preparations firsthand.

In addition to discussing the Champions Trophy, the ICC board deliberated on possible changes to the tenure of the ICC Chair and Independent Director positions, proposing terms of two to three years, subject to ICC membership approval.

The meeting also saw new appointments, with Scott Vennink named as the Full Members’ representative on the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee and Scott Edwards appointed as the Associate Members’ representative. Dr. John MacLean replaced Dr. Roger Hawkes on the ICC Medical Advisory Committee.

The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy will feature eight teams. Pakistan is placed in Group A alongside India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B consists of England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan. Matches will be held in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, with Lahore hosting seven games, including the final, and Karachi staging the tournament opener and one semi-final.
