With the second Test against England fast approaching, Pakistan is likely to include two spinners in their squad for the match, set to begin on October 15 at Multan Cricket Stadium. Insiders have indicated that left-arm spinner Noman Ali and off-spinner Sajid Khan are being considered for selection.

Notably, leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed will miss the second Test due to illness and is currently undergoing treatment. To make room for the new spinners, the team may drop either a fast bowler or a batter.

Discussions about the final playing XI are ongoing between the Pakistan team management and the selection committee, with the lineup expected to be confirmed by Sunday morning.

Pakistan suffered a disappointing defeat in the first Test against England, losing by an innings and 47 runs at the same venue. As a result, the Shan Masood-led side must perform well in the upcoming match to stay competitive in the series.

Their previous performance has significantly impacted their rankings, and Pakistan is currently placed at No. 9. The pressure is on the team to improve their standing with a strong showing in Multan.
