On Friday, Pakistan’s Shan Masood was dismissed for 26 runs as the team lost their fourth wicket at 99 runs against England during the second day of the third Test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The match is crucial as it decides the series, which is currently tied at 1-1.

Both Masood and Saud Shakeel resumed Pakistan’s innings after finishing Day 1 at 73-2 in response to England’s first innings score of 267 all out.

The hosts had struggled with their top order, losing three early wickets on the first day. Shoaib Bashir dismissed Abdullah Shafique for 14 runs in the ninth over, while Jack Leach sent Saim Ayub back to the pavilion for 19 in the twelfth over. Gus Atkinson dealt another blow by claiming Kamran Ghulam’s wicket for just 3 runs.

Despite these early setbacks, Masood and Shakeel managed to stabilize the innings briefly, scoring 16 runs together. However, their efforts could not prevent further losses, leaving Pakistan in a challenging position as they aim to secure a win in the series-deciding match.
