JOHANNESBURG: The Pakistan cricket team has arrived in Centurion from Durban to prepare for the second T20 international match against South Africa, set to take place tomorrow.

After an 11-run defeat in the first T20I, Pakistan is eager to bounce back and level the series.

In the first T20I, South Africa triumphed by 11 runs at Kingsmead, Durban, thanks to exceptional performances from George Linde and David Miller.

Miller’s explosive 82 off 40 balls and Linde’s all-round brilliance (48 off 24, 4/21) guided the Proteas to a thrilling victory.

Pakistan’s bowlers, Shaheen Afridi (3-22) and Abrar Ahmed (3-37), kept South Africa to 183/9, but Pakistan’s chase faltered. Mohammad Rizwan’s 74 off 62 balls was not enough as the middle-order struggled, leaving too much for the final overs. Debutant Kwena Maphaka dismissed Rizwan in the last over to seal the win for South Africa.

Despite the loss, Shaheen Afridi made history by becoming the third Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in T20 Internationals. He also became the first Pakistani player to take 100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket.

Pakistan will be aiming to improve their performance in the upcoming match and level the three-match series against the Proteas.
