This victory is historic for Pakistan, as it marks their first-ever Blind T20 World Cup title. The competition, which started in 2012, had been dominated by India in previous editions, with India winning all three tournaments held until now.

The first edition in 2012 saw India defeat Pakistan in the final, and India repeated the feat in 2017 and 2022. However, Pakistan broke the winning streak in 2024, lifting the trophy in front of their home crowd.
