Raja stated during a press conference at the National Cricket Stadium: “There is no uncertainty. You [journalists] are creating this uncertainty. I know the inside issues, and nothing is going to happen.” ”

The former batsman, who represented Pakistan in 255 international matches, stated that while it is customary to replace the board’s chairman when a new government is formed, it is neither necessary by law nor the constitution.

“I am not going anywhere. Should I write it on a stamp paper and give it to you? I know you people want me gone as it will give you headlines,” he added.

When asked about his future after completing his term as PCB chief, the 59-year-old responded, “Won’t be able to make a comeback in commentary as I have fought with everyone.”
