Pak vs WI: Babar Azam praises security forces, staff for working at 45+ degrees

- Babar praises the working staff for their hard work to make the series successful.

- The series was shifted to Multan due to political unrest in the Federal Capital.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam lauded the security forces, staff and groundsmen for their efforts and dedication to work under intense heat to make the ODI series between the Green Shirts and visiting team West Indies successful.
During the press conference ahead of the first ODI, Babar Azam was asked about extreme weather in the city.

“As professionals, its our job to adjust in different weather conditions. There are no excuses for us and our focus is just on the game,” he said.
“It’s commendable to see our security forces, groundsmen and other people putting in efforts in 45+ degrees, hats off to them. We should appreciate it,” he added.
MET Office predicted extreme weather conditions throughout the week.
On the other hand, Babar confidently said that they will win the ODI series 3-0.
“We are preparing well for the series. Players are confident and given roles according to their strength,” he said.
“It’s heartening to see international cricket returning to Multan after so long. We will try to play competitive cricket to amuse the crowd here,” the skipper concluded.
ODI series shifted to Multan
Previously, the ODI series was expected to begin in Rawalpindi from June 8. However, due to rising politial issues in the capital city of Islamabad, the series was then shifted to Multan.
Last week, the District Administration of Multan stated that it has begun the preparation for hosting the home ODI series.
The deputy commissioner also visited the stadium to guide the working staff on preparation. He also stressed on the security arrangmeents, parking and route to and from the stadium.
