Pak vs WI: Imam-ul-Haq ready to play against West Indies in his hometown

Imam-ul-Haq, who grew up watching his uncle Inzamam-ul-Haq play for Pakistan, is optimistic that he will perform well in his hometown when Pakistan faces West Indies in a three-ODI series beginning on June 8.

For Imam, who has played 49 one-day internationals for Pakistan so far, the city of his birth is full of fond memories.

“I grew up watching my uncle playing here at Multan Cricket Stadium. Now, its my turn to come out here and perform,” he said.

“On our way to ground for practice, I was sharing my memories with Babar. I was born in Multan and have a lot of memories here,” the cricketer added.

Regarding preparations, Imam stated that the crew is actively working without considering the weather.

“As professionals, we are used to of adjusting ourselves in different conditions,” he emphasized.

“Our focus is on the preparations. Players are given their roles and I hope we come up to the expectations,” he concluded.
