Australian star batsman and Sydney Thunder captain David Warner has suffered an injury in an unexpected incident.

Interestingly, the injury did not occur during a match or training session. Instead, Warner hurt himself while playing with his children, which has ruled him out of today’s scheduled match against the Hobart Hurricanes.

According to sources, a few days ago, Warner was playing in the sand with his children at the beach when he suddenly felt pain in his side. A medical examination later confirmed the injury.

David Warner had an outstanding performance in the previous Big Bash League (BBL) season, scoring runs at an average of 45 and playing a key role in leading Sydney Thunder to the final.

However, Thunder were unfortunate to lose the final to the Hobart Hurricanes.

The team management is hopeful that Warner will fully recover before Saturday’s match against the Sydney Sixers. Warner is eager to return to the field against Hobart this season and settle the score for last season’s final defeat.
