Jose Mourinho will return to Camp Nou in August after Barcelona revealed they will meet Mourinho’s Roma in a preseason friendly on Wednesday.

Mourinho’s last competitive match at Camp Nou was in 2013, at the end of his tenure as Real Madrid manager, which was characterized by the fierce rivalry between Barcelona and Pep Guardiola.

The match versus Roma will be played on August 6 for the Joan Gamper Trophy, and the club’s women’s teams will also compete. The women’s game will begin at 5.30 p.m., followed by the men’s match at 9 p.m.

It will be the final preseason game for Xavi Hernandez’s squad before the August 12 start of La Liga.

In July, Barcelona are also slated to play friendly against Olot, Inter Miami, Real Madrid, Juventus, and New York Red Bulls.
