Liverpool refused two proposals from Bayern Munich for the 30-year-old, whose contract with the Reds was slated to expire next summer, before accepting their most recent offer.

He joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 for £31.5 million with an additional £2.5 million as an add-on.

Since then, Mane has scored 90 goals in the Premier League for Liverpool, and he ended the season with 23 goals in all competitions.

Mane, along with fellow 30-year-old attackers Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, has significantly contributed to Liverpool’s rapid progress.

The trio helped the squad win the Champions League in 2019 and the league title the following year after a 30-year drought.
