The Pakistan hockey team’s struggles continue in the Pro Hockey League in Argentina, as they were defeated 3-2 by the host nation, Argentina, in their second match of the tournament.
In a highly competitive game, Pakistan’s captain Imad Butt scored in the 36th minute, followed by a goal from Rana Waleed in the 45th minute.
Despite these efforts, Argentina responded with goals from Tomas, Nicolas, and Maika, securing the win for the hosts.
This loss adds to Pakistan’s disappointment following their 5-2 defeat to the Netherlands in the opening match of the tournament.
Despite showing moments of promise, the team was unable to capitalize on critical opportunities in both matches.
Pakistan’s upcoming fixtures see them facing the Netherlands again on 13th December, followed by another encounter with Argentina on 15th December.
The team will be looking to secure their first win in the tournament and build momentum as the Pro Hockey League progresses.
