Popular social communication application WhatsApp has launched a new feature for the users through which they can get call waiting alerts.

Before the introduction of this feature, the call waiting feature was not available on WhatsApp. If a user is busy on a call and another call is incoming, he/she were not being given alerts. Another call notification used to appear as a miss call after the user has finished the previous one.

However, now the user will get call alerts through this new feature. The user can either end the previous call and accept the new one or simply decline the new incoming.

This feature was introduced for iOS in November and now it has been introduced for Android users as well.

Voice call feature was introduced nearly four years ago and the video call option was included after its success.

However, there is still a need to improve this feature. It does not allow us to pick both calls simultaneously. Apart from that, there is no option to hold a call for a while and pick a new call, which is usually possible in sim calls.

This feature has been introduced in WhatsApp version 2.19.352.
