TikTok has introduced a new feature named Family Pairing that will allow parents and teens to access the app and customize their safety settings as per their requirements.

TikTok has become a renowned video-sharing application throughout the world. Not only teenagers use the app more frequently, but parents also collaborate with their kids to make creative videos. Parents and teens have increased their interest in the app during isolation.

TikTok says that family pairing increases its suite of safety tools and provide better access to features. According to the sources, TikTok says,” It is part of our continued work toward providing parents better able to guide their teen’s online experience while allowing time to educate about online safety and digital citizenship.”

The family pairing feature will be activated in the coming weeks. Under this new feature, parents will be able to link their Twitter account to their children. In addition to this, family pairing will allow the parent to set controls in the following areas.

Screen Time Management

Through this option, parents can control how long their teens can remain on TikTok each day.

Restricted Mode

Through this option, parents can limit the appearance of their videos that may not be suitable for all the audiences. Parents can set the screen time management and restricted mode by using the Digital wellbeing controls in the app.

Direct messages

Parents can limit or turn off direct messages completely through this option.
