Amazon, Google, and Wish have decided to remove neo-Nazi and white-supremacist products being sold from their platforms.

These platforms were offering white-supremacist flags, neo-Nazi books, and Ku Klux Klan merchandise products for sale. Algorithms on Amazon and Wish were recommending other white-supremacist products.

According to BBC, these racist products were not allowed to be sold on their platforms.

He said algorithms had to be “taught to be responsible”.

A white-supremacist flag featuring a Celtic Cross was among the items found on sale on Amazon.

The ADL said that the image made on the flag was “one of the most common white-supremacist symbols”.

One of Amazon’s customers gave a “review” of the product in June. The customer stated, “This is a neo-Nazi flag. Amazon should not be profiting from this.”

In addition to this, Google, Amazon, and Wish were also offering libertarian militia Boogaloo movement’s products.

Amazon has now removed all such controversial products.

Google told the BBC: “We don’t allow ads or products that are sold on our platforms that display shocking content or promote hatred. We enforce these policies vigorously and take action when we determine they are breached.”

Wish said: “We are working hard to remove these items and taking additional steps to prevent such items appearing again.”
