The social media website Twitter has put in a condition before adding the much-awaited “edit” button.

The tweet from the company’s official account prompted a torrent of responses and in less than 24 hours it received about two million likes.

Twitter’s official handle on Thursday night wrote in a tweet,

“You can have an edit button when everyone wears a mask.”

In less than 24 hours, the tweet received nearly 2 million likes and sparked all sorts of reactions. Some people said Twitter is fine without it, although others were disappointed.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier this year, Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey had said that the company would “probably never” introduce the feature because it may unintentionally cause misinformation to spread to users.
