Google has added a new feature in the most popular app Google maps to protect people from the COVID-19.

Google has announced that a new COVID layer is being added to Google Maps so that users can better know the number of cases of this disease in any area.

Coronavirus pandemics have not stopped in many countries, while fears of a second wave are emerging in several regions.

With this in mind, Google has introduced this new feature.

After enabling this feature, users will be able to view a colour COVID map that displays case statistics for every 100,000 people in the population.

The colour-COVID map will also have labels that indicate that the number of cases in the area is increasing or decreasing.

According to Google, the feature will be available in all 220 countries and territories that currently support Google Maps.

Where possible, this data will be displayed at the city level but will depend on the availability of statistics.

According to Google, the data will be collected from various sources, including Johns Hopkins University, New York Times and Wikipedia, while details released by local and government agencies will also be included.

This is similar to the way COVID data is currently displayed on Google search results pages.

This new feature will gradually start reaching users this week from Android and iOS and all users will be able to use it in the next few days or weeks.

However, Google does not intend to introduce this feature in the desktop version.
