Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max contains 3,687 mAh battery

Owing to a listing on China’s TENAA agency, we now have the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s battery size. The iPhone 12 has modest performance gains and a superior RAM capacity.

The biggest iPhone till date has a cell with a capacity of 3,687 mAh. This is 282 mAh less than last year’s iPhone 11 Pro Max which had a 3,969 mAh cell. It was also listed with a 6GB RAM.

The battery capacities for the new iPhones have come to our knowledge through official listings. The 12 and 12 Pro comprise of 2,815 cells while the 12 mini contains the smallest battery with 2,227 mAh.

Apple claims similar battery life to last year’s iPhones. Despite the power efficiency gains from the new 5nm A14 chipset, early reviews reveal that the 12 and 12 Pro cannot last as long as last year’s iPhone 11 Pro. The 12 Pro Max and 12 mini are yet to be reviewed by users.
