Facebook announced that it will begin charging companies for some of its WhatsApp Business chat services.

According to details, the social media giant told an international news agency that it charges businesses to send specific messages to the customers, such as boarding passes or product receipts.

The costs vary depending on the market and quantity of the messages sent. It has plans to change the way it charges businesses.

Facebook said it will use some of the revenue from business sales to continue to offer free services to its more than two billion WhatsApp users.

Facebook has worked to make significant revenue from WhatsApp, which it acquired for $16 billion in 2014, and relies on advertising on Facebook and Instagram to make a profit.

WhatsApp Business allows users to interact with small and medium businesses. Ventures are allowed to provide support to the customers and sell products directly. WhatsApp Business caters to more than 50 million business users and 175 million people around the world message a business each day.

Facebook has announced that it will soon provide services such as hosting, inventory, and others. It will also help partners manage chat messages with clients.
