The 16 Psyche traveling between the planets Mars and Jupiter is one of the largest objects within the asteroid belt.

Now the researchers who piloted the study estimated that the asteroid could be worth 10 quintillion dollars (the equivalent of a billion trillion), reported by CNN.

It is believed by scientists that the asteroid is made entirely of nickel and iron, and that it could be the nucleus of a first planet.

Researchers hope they can gain a better understanding of the earth’s core by studying Psyche. Psyche has a diameter of over 200 kilometers and is also one of the ten most massive asteroids in the asteroid belt. NASA plans on sending a spacecraft into space by 2026 to study it further.
