While Samsung and Huawei are in the second-generation of their foldable phones, Apple is still working on its foldable iPhone.

The Cupertino-based giant is quite behind others in terms of technology for smartphones given that it just launched its 5G compatible devices.

Albeit, the company is making steady progress with the foldable iPhone. It has been previously leaked a few times. A new report suggests that when the foldable iPhone is launched, Apple will discontinue and stop the production of iPad Mini.

It is believed that the upcoming foldable iPhone will be a cross between the iPhone and iPad Mini and will be running the iPadOS. When opened, the device will have a similar display to the iPad Mini.

As previous reports suggest, the foldable device is designed in a way that when opened, it has a single continuous display. It does not appear to have two separate display panels.

The new phone is expected to have at least 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage at a beginning price of $1,499.

The launch date for the foldable iPhone is expected to be around November 2022.
