Winter solstice of the year 2020 occurred on Monday 21 December, in the northern hemisphere, the date marks the 24-hour period with the scarcer daylight hours of the year.

According to the Pakitan Meteorological Department, the night between December 21 and 22 will be the longest night of the year.

The Meteorological Department said that the sunset took place at 5:49 am today and the sun will rise at 7:12 am tomorrow morning.

The Meteorological Department says the duration of the night between December 21 and 22 will be 13 hours and 37 minutes.

Meteorological Department stated that today was the shortest day of the year and the duration of this day was 10 hours and 23 minutes.
