Tech giant Apple to set up silicon design center in Germany

Tech giant Apple is all set to open up a “Silicon Design Center” in Germany with an investment of 1.2 billion US Dollars, the company wants to increase its corporate spending in this region.

As per reports, the American tech giant announced that it will go to set up a new facility in the German city of Munich, the site will be called European Silicon Design Center which will focus on 5G technology and also explore more advanced wireless related technologies.

The company also said that they wanted to build the largest engineering hub in Europe with over 1,500 engineers working in this region, in other words about half of all engineers of the firm that are working on power management are currently in Germany.

Moreover, the company is also planning to expand its chip sectors like design and improved technologies of the processors and wants to invest about 1.2 Billion Dollars for the upcoming three years on new construction and its related R&D investments.
