Soon after WhatsApp’s new privacy policy, Telegram had witnessed a massive surge in new users.

Telegram is timely updating its features in order to let its users feel more convenient using the application.

This time the new messaging application has rolled out a feature that allows users to mute their chats popping up on the phone.

According to Telegram, the user can select chats on Android or swipe on iOS to quickly enable or disable notifications.

The application said, “Each platform also has several temporary mute options, in case you just need a little quiet time.”

Earlier, Telegram had said that its users could now delete messages, chats, call history, and groups that they created at any time.

“Deleted items completely disappear for all participants without a trace – your data is your business, and you have full control over it,” it said.

Previously, the application had introduced a new feature, allowing users to create polls on the messaging app — a move that would allow users to easily make group decisions.

“Polls can be anonymous and can allow for multiple votes, making them perfect for anything from choosing to elect planetary governors to choose lunch,” the platform announced on Twitter.
