Twitter has launched a new feature named ‘Tip Jar,’ which allows users to gain money by receiving tips from their followers.

Tip Jar will be open to a small community of users, including artists, writers, experts, and nonprofit organizations.

Only those who use Twitter in English will be able to use it. Twitter would also not take a share of the tips.

Tip Jar is an easy way to support the incredible voices that make up the conversation on Twitter.

In a blog post, Twitter’s senior product manager Esther Crawford said, “This is the first step in our work to build new ways for people to receive and show support on Twitter – with money.

Starting today, anyone who uses Twitter in English can submit tips to the appropriate Twitter accounts on IOS and Android. For now, only a limited number of people using Twitter in English will add Tip Jar to their profile and accept tips.

Twitter currently accepts payments from Bandcamp, Cash App, Patreon, PayPal, and Venmo.

You will be guided to the app’s page to complete your payment once you choose one of these options.

Users who want to allow Tip Jar on Twitter can do so in the “Edit Profile” section.

Select Tip Jar and turn it on.

Then enter your payment information to collect the tips.
